Following is a partial list of the many awards and accolades Hitachi Group companies in North America received between 2012 and 2014:
In 2014, the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) named Clarion Corporation of America as an International CES Innovations 2014 Design and Engineering Award Honoree twice for their NX404 in-dash navigation/multimedia source unit with full smartphone connectivity and the new marine specific CMS5 a robust digital media system. The CMS5’s, two-piece system with an optically bonded 4.3 inch color LCD and features a global AM/ FM/ weather band tuner with RDS, and Bluetooth HFP and A2DP with aptX and AVRCP 1.4 compatibility in a water tight black box construction for system expandability and mounting flexibility. Clarion has also received several OEM supplier awards, including top 2012 Supplier Ratings at Subaru of America.
In 2014, Hitachi Automotive Systems was recognized by Autozone with the WITTDTJR Award. Created by Autozone’s founder, this award recognizes outstanding suppliers who do “What it Takes to Do the Job Right.” Specifically, Hitachi was recognized for offering a first to market solution and consistently meeting delivery timelines while at the same time supplying innovative marketing tools and product information. In 2013, Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, Inc. received the Toyota Quality Award for their air flow meter products. The company also received the Jatco Best Performance Award for delivery, the Autozone Award for Los Angeles and the GM Supplier Quality Excellence Award for Georgia, Georgia Manufacturer of the Year, and the Martha Layne Collins Award, which recognizes Kentucky companies that promote global trade.
For several consecutive years, Hitachi Consulting has won numerous customer excellence, industry and partnership awards. In 2013, AT&T awarded Hitachi Consulting the Supplier Sustainable Award. In 2014 Hitachi Consulting received the Infinity Award by the Americas’ SAP Users’ Group (ASUG). For the past 8 years in a row, Hitachi Consulting earned the prestigious status of Partner of the Year from Microsoft and Partner of the Year from Oracle. Hitachi Consulting has Diamond level partner status, the highest ranking available in the Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) Specialized program. Hitachi Consulting has been recognized for its commitment to codeveloping customer centric solutions that are centered on meeting business needs and helping clients secure the greatest possible benefits from Oracle applications. Hitachi Consulting has also been named to numerous Gartner Magic Quadrants, including CRM, Oracle ERP, ERP, Supply Chain, Business Intelligence and Performance Management and Business Operations Consulting. It has also been cited as a Specialist in the Green Quadrant Sustainable Technology Services report by Verdantix.

In 2013, Hitachi Metals America, LLC. was recognized by Automotive Engineering International (AEI) for its NEOMAX© rareearth neodymium sintered magnets and DDMagic©, a dysprosium vapor deposition diffusion technology.
In 2014, hospital users rated Hitachi Medical Systems #1 MR vendor according to the Q2 2014 MD Buyline User Satisfaction Ratings Report™ for the fourth consecutive year (17 consecutive quarters.) Hitachi earned the top composite score as well as the top score in three of the six categories.
In 2013, Carter Logistics was awarded the Fleet Safety Award by the Indiana Motor Truck Association for having the safest fleet in Indiana in their size category. Carter’s accident frequency in 2013 was .27 accidents per million miles. Carter was also awarded a Cost Competitiveness and Innovation award from Nissan. The award recognizes companies that go above and beyond to drive cost out of Nissan’s supply chain while providing the highest level of overall service. Lastly, Carter was awarded the 2013 Regional Partnership Award from Ivy Tech Community College in Indiana for its collaboration with the state to educate Indiana workers and get them back to work. Carter, in partnership with the state of Indiana, sponsors students to attend Ivy Tech’s Sage Truck Driving Schools at no cost to the student. Since the induction of the program in 2010, Carter and Ivy Tech have successfully trained over 300 employees, all of whom started working for Carter Express upon their graduation.
