In the U.S., Mexico and Canada, Hitachi offers a diverse lineup of consumer products and services including audio-visual equipment (televisions, mobile audio and entertainment), communications equipment (high-performance copper and fiber optic cables), home improvement products (power tools), and automotive electronics (lenses and batteries).

Performance Cable Systems and Materials Division

Hitachi Cable America Inc., Performance Cable Systems and Materials Division is located in Manchester, New Hampshire, and manufactures a complete line of high-performance copper and fiber optic cables for the communication industry. Products include Category 6 and 6A copper communication cables, indoor, indoor/ outdoor and outside plant fiber optic cables, as well as round and flat electronic cables.

The company’s state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment and advanced engineering technology enables the company to produce a wide range of products to meet all industry-standard cable and custom cable needs both in the U.S. and around the world.

Hitachi Cable America is currently producing Category 7 and 7A cables and there is growing demand for Category 8 cables, HDBaseT/ IEEE 1911 and Harsh Environment fiber optic solutions. From lowcost network patch cords to supercomputing cable assemblies, in copper and fiber, the company’s cables help customers solve their interconnect challenges for industrial, multimedia, transportation and IT applications.

In 1980, Hitachi Koki Co., Ltd. of Japan created Hitachi Power Tools USA, Ltd. (commonly referred to in the U.S. as Hitachi Power Tools) to market and sell its line of tools in the United States. In the following years, Hitachi Power Tools built its reputation for quality on the success of its pneumatic framing nailer and sliding compound miter saws.

Since its founding, Hitachi Koki has dedicated considerable time and resources to the research and development of innovative and durable power tools. Such dedication to product development has led to a number of firsts and countless improvements in power tool technology.

In addition, Hitachi is a world leader in metal casting technology, metallurgical science and plastics technology. This expertise, coupled with Hitachi Koki’s high speed motor technology, precision processing and electronic control, allow Hitachi Koki to produce lighter, faster and more durable power tools for the professional.

Today, Hitachi Koki continues to forge aggressively into the future, developing innovative new technologies that benefit consumers by improving the longevity and performance of the Hitachi power tool line. Recently, Hitachi Koki purchased Tanaka Power Equipment as a brand within the Hitachi Power Tools group. Tanaka’s innovative product line provides landscapers, construction professionals, property managers and utility professionals with two stroke commercial grade outdoor power equipment solutions. In addition, the Tanaka brand offers consumers a complete suite of grass trimmers, brush cutters, multi-task tools, chainsaws, blowers, hedge trimmers, edgers, augers, gas powered drills, water pumps and a complete mix of accessories.

Headquarters for North America relocated in late 2014 to Braselton, Georgia into a state of the art 500,000+ sq. ft. facility that also houses the factory service center for the east, as well as consolidated warehouses on the east coast. The move supports the company’s plans to improve workplace efficiency as well as prepare for expected future growth. Hitachi Power Tools supports over 4,000 retail locations carrying Hitachi tools and over 1,000 authorized service centers in the United States and Caribbean.

Hitachi Power Tools supports over 2,000 retail and industrial locations and over 200 authorized service centers nationwide.
