Hitachi Eco-Engineering Forum 2011 brought together key U.S. opinion leaders and technological experts, giving them a common platform to discuss issues regarding sustainable development of urban communities. Hitachi Eco-Engineering Forum 2011 featured panels organized by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and The Brookings Institution.

The Honorable Steven Chu, U.S. Secretary of Energy, delivered the keynote presentation at the Hitachi Annual Forum, whose previous editions attracted more than 200 key opinion leaders from government, academia, non-profit organizations, and the industry.
