LAS VEGAS, , June 16, 2008 — Providing WXGA resolution, a brightness of 4,000 ANSI lumens and a 2,000-hour hybrid filter, Hitachi Home Electronics (America), Inc., Business Group, will introduce the CP-WX625 LCD projector at InfoComm 08. With networking functionality and Hitachi’s proprietary My Image Campus Notification system, the CP-WX625 projector is ideal for higher education applications.

The CP-WX625 LCD projector is specially designed for use with widescreen-format laptops and imaging applications that use 16:10 aspect ratios. Additionally, the CP-WX625 features an HDMI terminal, allowing digital signals such as DVD players/recorders and HD to be transmitted digitally to the projector. A 16-watt speaker output provides sufficient audio coverage, while the hybrid filter is side-mounted, allowing for easier maintenance. Further simplifying maintenance, the CP-WX625 also features a top-door lamp, making replacement much easier.

The CP-WX625 also features one RGB input, one RGB output and one BNC input, as well as component, composite and S-Video connections. It offers horizontal and vertical lens shift, an Instant On/Off option and a lamp life of approximately 3,000 hours in Whisper Mode. Providing advanced anti-theft capabilities, the CP-WX625 features a security bar and transition detector.

“The Hitachi CP-WX625 LCD projector addresses several demands in the marketplace, including widescreen capability and longer time between cleaning filters,” said John Glad, product manager, Hitachi Home Electronics (America), Inc., Business Group. “High performance and low cost of ownership make the CP-WX625 an ideal solution for a variety of environments, particularly in higher education.”
