Hitachi America Chairman Takashi Hatchoji to take part in Fire-side Chat at BSR Conference in San Francisco on Thursday, November 3, 2011

WHAT: The former head of Hitachi’s Emergency Headquarters for post earthquake and reconstruction, Takashi Hatchoji, will join BSR President and CEO Aron Cramer in a fire-side chat discussion that will analyze Japan’s sustainable resurgence following the devastating earthquake and tsunami in 2011.

From sustainability principles unearthed, such as the importance of Japan’s energy mix and the role of NGOs, to important lessons learned by companies creating new waves of innovation, Japan has taken a tragic event and turned it into an opportunity to “build back better” for a more sustainable future.
