BRISBANE, Calif., www.hitachi.us, May 23, 2000 – Hitachi America, Ltd., today announced a revolutionary new addition to its superior LCD multimedia projector suite, the five-pound CP-S220W. One of the most cost-effective units in its class, the CP-S220W offers maximum image output and quality in a small footprint. The CP-S220W will debut at INFOCOMM 2000 in Anaheim, CA on June 15 - June 17, 2000. The CP-S220W is priced at $4,295.00 and will be available in August via Hitachi’s network of nationwide resellers.

“Hitachi continues to set the stage for the ultra-portable LCD projector market,” said Pete Denes, national sales manager of Hitachi America, Ltd., Computer Division, Multimedia Products. “The CP-S220W offers an unparalleled combination of features and options in a compact design, reinforcing Hitachi’s commitment to its wide corporate and consumer customer base.”

At 700 lumens, the CP-S220W weighs five pounds and has a thickness of 2.4 inches. The unit is equipped with a sliding lens cover, built in speaker, and lighted control buttons for ease of use in a dark room. The CP-S220W also features an optional remote mouse unit.
