Hitachi participated in the 15th Annual Manufacturing Leadership Summit (MLS), on June 10 -12, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa in Huntington Beach, CA. This event featured more than 300 leaders from a diverse cross section of manufacturing companies, who came together to learn about emerging trends and best practices for operational excellence and navigating the industry’s digital transformation. Hitachi has been a signature partner of MLS for the 2nd year in a row.
Topics of focus at the event included leadership for the digital age, ways to maintain and grow innovation, workforce development, and technology applications for artificial intelligence, blockchain, 5G networks, 3D printing, and predictive maintenance. The event concluded with the Manufacturing Leadership Awards black tie gala, a program that recognizes both company and individual excellence across a variety of domains.
The event was a great opportunity to meet with the Subject Matter Experts across varying industries and helped attendees to gain insights on the future of manufacturing.
Sath Rao, Director of Digital Solutions for Manufacturing, from Hitachi Vantara presented a keynote that focused on how maximizing return on data can enable manufacturers to go beyond incremental operational improvements to true digital transformation.
Following the keynote, Sath hosted a Panel Discussion that provided additional insights on technology trends, customer challenges and future directions.
Industry Leaders hosted a “Food for Thought Luncheon” that gave experts the chance to Networking and be inspired.
Hitachi hosted a featured demo to showcase its manufacturing solutions. It was a great opportunity for MLS attendees to learn how to optimize shop floor operations with real-time data, analytics and AI to improve their asset usability, boost quality, enhance productivity and increase on-time delivery.
