Hitachi unveils Social Innovation Business Solutions at CES 2020

Seven Hitachi business units collaborated to present a “One Hitachi’ technology showcase at CES 2020, January 7 - 10 in Las Vegas, NV. CES has served as the proving ground for innovators and breakthrough technologies for 50 years – it is the global stage where next-generation innovations are introduced to the marketplace. More than 170,000 attendees explored over 4,400 exhibits and attended over 300 conference sessions focused on the latest innovations in a variety of technologies across a wide range of industries. Hitachi collectively featured its social innovation solutions that are making cities smarter and helping to improve overall quality of life by increasing social, environmental, and economic values.

Hitachi’s smart cities exhibit in the Westgate Paradise Center highlighted the Company’s expertise in smart spaces, rail and automotive mobility, and smart life solutions for automotive and healthcare industries. The Group demonstrated its extensive portfolio through interactive displays, including a virtual reality autonomous driving experience, and a graphic wall highlighting the value of its smart city solutions. Visitors had opportunities to speak with Hitachi experts and learn about Lumada Video Insights, next-level healthcare solutions, and innovations in autonomous and connected vehicle technologies.

Hitachi America, Ltd. Chairman Hicham Abdessamad, stopped by Hitachi’s booth during CES and shared his thoughts on smart spaces, ecosystems and how Hitachi’s social innovation solutions are powering good.

Hitachi’s exhibit was strategically positioned in CES’ Smart Cities exhibit area, which has grown 25% since 2019 with plans for further expansion in 2021 and beyond. The success of this exhibit category is promising for Hitachi as it continues to highlight solutions that will improve how cities function and overall quality of life.
