Hitachi Featured Advanced Mobility Tech and Attracted Talent at the 2018 NAIAS

As an Official Sponsor of the 2018 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), Hitachi Automotive Systems led a dynamic marketing campaign to expand customer relationships, increase brand awareness, and connect with job seekers. Over 809,000 people attended the NAIAS, January 14-28, at Cobo Center in Detroit, Michigan, where Hitachi’s automotive team managed two displays and an eventful agenda.

Within AutoMobili-D, an exhibition focused on the rapidly evolving automotive and mobility landscape, the team displayed one of their autonomous technology demonstration vehicles equipped with Hitachi Automotive Systems and Clarion cameras and sensors. Visitors talked with product experts and learned about Hitachi’s Social Innovation Business in the automotive industry via digital product data, brochures, and technology videos. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Hitachi Automotive Systems’ recruiting team shared job openings and collected resumes during the event’s two-day Future Automotive Career Expo.

During the show’s Industry Preview, when 40,000 automotive executives, engineers and analysts representing 2,200 companies from around the world connected and shared insights on products, technologies and services, Hitachi sales and leadership hosted 581 guests in a private suite featuring an exhibition of the Company’s latest environment, safety and information products and services.

To maximize brand exposure, Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas and Hitachi America, Ltd. collaborated on billboard advertisements and social media features to complement promotions and sponsor recognition on radio and TV commercials, websites, and on signage throughout Cobo Center. In addition, Group Company leadership led two technology symposiums: “How AV Requirements Are Driving Vehicle Electrical Architecture Innovations”, and “Contribution to Social Innovation through Mobility Service Business”, and shared business and technology updates during a NAIAS Facebook Live-streamed press conference.
