Jun Taniguchi

Jun Taniguchi is Vice President and Executive Officer, COO of Services & Platforms Business Unit of Hitachi, Ltd. Jun is also CEO of Hitachi Digital LLC and President, Hitachi Global Life Solutions. He joined Hitachi in 1995 and has provided enormous value to the Hitachi Group. Experienced in all IT, OT, and Product businesses, his role as CEO of Hitachi Digital will allow his knowledge to drive more collaboration between DSS and other sectors to accomplish Hitachi’s goals globally. In his early years at Hitachi, he served as an SW engineer working on new business development, especially for the healthcare industry in the Social Innovation Business Unit. Later, as the GM of the Control System Platform Division, he led the IIoT business with his OT Engineering expertise. In his most recent role as President of Hitachi Global Life Solutions for 3 years, he accomplished the digitization of the product business for home appliances and commercial air-conditioning related products.
