Jun Taniguchi

Jun Taniguchi is President and CEO of Hitachi America, Ltd. and President and CEO of Hitachi Digital LLC. He joined Hitachi in 1995 and has provided enormous value to the Hitachi Group. His long and distinguished career with Hitachi is an embodiment of the IT + OT + Product philosophy. Previous to his role at Hitachi Digital, Taniguchi-san served as the CEO of Hitachi Global Life Solutions, leading the charge in the product and OT sectors. Taniguchi-san’s role is critical in meeting the objectives of our regional strategy and achieving Hitachi’s ambitious mission in the Americas.

In his early years at Hitachi, he served as an SW engineer working on new business development, especially for the healthcare industry in the Social Innovation Business Unit. Later, as the GM of the Control System Platform Division, he led the IIoT business with his OT Engineering expertise. In his most recent role as President of Hitachi Global Life Solutions for 3 years, he accomplished the digitization of the product business for home appliances and commercial air-conditioning related products.
