The Hitachi Vantara CAC Committee in Englewood, Colorado brought back its Adopt-a-Family program for the holidays in December of 2018.
The committee coordinated our program with the local non-profit, Family Tree, by creating sign ups and advertising throughout our office. Hitachi colleagues participated by donating over 30 gifts, wrapping materials and gift cards, and participating in two office wrapping sessions. Members of the committee also donated their time by delivering our gifts to Family Tree for our adopted family of nine.
Throughout the month of December, HCA-IN collected monetary donations to purchase 100 blankets and snow globes for the residents of Providence Transitional Care in New Albany, IN.
On December 18th, three HCA-IN employees handed out the gifts to 100 permanent residents of Providence.
Each year Hitachi Vantara and Hitachi Computer Products America, Inc. set up an Angel Tree for employees to choose an Able House resident to sponsor for Christmas gifts. Able House is an organization that supports people with special needs by offering independent living opportunities and enabling them to gain and sustain employment.
At the party, volunteers serve food to the residents, hand out gifts and help residents unwrap their gifts.

In recognition of Sullair support of Toys for Tots, charity representatives presented a plaque to Charlie Takeuchi, Sullair COO and Executive Vice President, at a small ceremony on December 14.
