Annual North American Corporate Social Responsibility Meeting

Hitachi group Corporate Social Responsibility representatives in North America gather and discuss important human rights topics at the annual North American Corporate Social Responsibility Meeting. The Corporate Social Responsibility meetings provide an opportunity for Hitachi group companies to share best practices in educating staff, implementing Human Rights initiatives and addressing potential human rights concerns.

During the meeting in January 2018, Business for Social Responsibility trained staff members on implementing the UN Guiding Principles on Human Rights. Hitachi has already made strides in embedding these goals in our company through the Hitachi Group Policy on Human Rights and through our company-wide legal compliance training, which addresses human rights.
