Hitachi Offers A Variety Of Presentation Products For Pro AV Market At InfoComm

-- Product highlights include 3LCD projectors, StarBoard interactive whiteboards, VisionCube displays and hybrid camcorders --

ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, June 19, 2007 – Hitachi is introducing a variety of new products today at InfoComm 07, featuring the highest levels of innovative design, reliability and system support. The Hitachi America, Ltd., Ubiquitous Platform Systems Division, Hitachi Software Engineering America and Hitachi Data Systems will offer systems integrators, dealers and end-users high-end audio/video technologies including 3LCD projectors, StarBoard interactive whiteboards, VisionCube displays and hybrid camcorders.

According to Pete Denes, vice president of sales, Hitachi America, Ltd., Ubiquitous Platform Systems Division, Business Group, the company’s leadership position in the video presentation industry hinges on its ability to provide leading-edge technologies in a variety of formats for any application.

New from the Hitachi America, Ltd., Ubiquitous Platform Systems Division at InfoComm is a range of projectors that incorporate industry-leading 3LCD display technology for a variety of presentation environments, including classrooms, lecture halls, boardrooms and training centers. The new CP-X200 projector offers advanced security functions and is highly customizable to meet the needs of each presenter. The CP-X200 features a brightness of 2,200 ANSI lumens and a 500:1 contrast ratio, at a light weight of 7.7 pounds.

Also new at InfoComm 07, the CP-X300 3LCD projector offers a brightness of 2,600 ANSI lumens and a light weight of 7.7 pounds, bringing a new level of versatility to the education market. The CP-X300 addresses the issue of equipment theft in schools, as it is equipped with a security bar, Kensington security slot and transition detector (a sensor located inside the projector that recognizes when the projector has been moved). A 7-watt audio output enables a complete audio/video presentation.

Hitachi Softwarewill showcase the FX-Series interactive whiteboards offering educators, students, and presenters an exciting way to communicate. Available in three sizes (63”, 77” and 82”), the FX-Series works with Hitachi Software’s StarBoard 7.1 software, enabling users to annotate directly on any Microsoft Office program, quickly and easily creating notes, geographic shapes, highlights and much more.

FX-Series includes on-board buttons, providing more accessibility to users, as well as a wireless pen tool with customizable buttons. The FX Series features a Steel-backed anti-glare surface and does not contain electronics, so any surface damage will not affect the board’s functionality. With the FX Series, all electronics are contained in a field replaceable pod, covered under a five-year warranty. In the event of repair, a new pod can be shipped and replaced on-site.

Additionally, Hitachi Data Systemsis introducing the new EX50-118CMW VisionCube 50-inch XGA display. The EX50-118CMW features three-chip LCOS rear-projection technology, a 1500:1 contrast ratio, and a 4:3 aspect ratio. It also offers a wealth of connectivity options, as well as a lamp life of 8,000 hours and a viewing angle of 120 degrees horizontal, 60 degrees vertical. The EX50-118CMW is front-accessible, the first model from Hitachi that offers this feature. With Hitachi’s exclusive edge-to-edge technology, users can build a nearly seamless wall of displays, with each unit blending precisely with the next to deliver e single or multiple high-resolution images. The Hitachi-designed super black stripe screen virtually eliminates the effects of ambient light in a room. This means less reflection and no glare. The innovative, automatic lamp changer ensures that mission-critical display applications remain operational, and that unplanned downtime is a thing of the past.

Also new from Hitachi are UltravisionDVD/HDD camcorders, including the DZHS300A. With built-in 8GB HDD and four formats of DVD and SD card recording capability, the DZHS300A is the world’s first Hybrid DVD+HDD camcorder. It also features easy one-touch dubbing from HDD to DVD, USB 2.0 PC and Mac connectivity, 25x optical zoom and 1200x digital zoom.

Another new addition to the Ultravision Camcorder line is the DZHS500A, featuring a built-in 30GB HDD, four formats of DVD and SD card recording capability, and easy one-touch dubbing at 2x speed from HDD to DVD, USB 2.0 PC and Mac connectivity is available, as is 30x optical zoom and 1500x digital zoom.
