Indianapolis 500 Champion Helio Castroneves Appears With Hitachi At Oracle OpenWorld Event Popular Driver participates in discussion on data-driven lessons from IndyCar Racing

San Francisco, CA, September 30, 2014 – Team Penske driver Helio Castroneves,  one of the superstars of the Verizon IndyCar Series and three-time winner of the Indianapolis 500, appeared at this year’s Oracle OpenWorld (OOW) on Monday, September 29, the largest and arguably most important enterprise IT event of the year.

Castroneves explored how lessons from the fast-paced world of IndyCar Racing can be applied to the equally fast-paced world of 21st Century technology and industry solutions. A panel of Internet and Big Data Experts with additional representatives from Team Penske, Hitachi Consulting, Oracle Corporation, Hitachi Automotive and Hitachi Data Systems participated in the discussion, led by the IndyCar racing legend.

World-class auto racing is not just about having a highly-skilled driver and state-of-the art racing car.
