Hitachi Automotive Systems Joins SAE International’s WCX17 With Silver Sponsorship, Tech Exhibit and Focus on Recruiting

Detroit, Michigan, March 27, 2017 — Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, Inc. has announced the company’s Silver Sponsorship of the WCX17: SAE World Congress Experience to be held at Cobo Center in Detroit, Michigan, April 4-6.

Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas returns to the show after eight years to promote its brand in North America, highlight the company’s key technologies, and connect with job seekers.

The company’s exhibit at booth #2409 will feature its engine management, electric powertrain, drive control, and car safety and information systems products, including an interactive demonstration of its camera and sensor technologies.  As a sponsor of the show’s recruiting hub: Career Central, the Hitachi team will host a second location at booth #CF1 to share information about employment opportunities at its Farmington Hills sales and design center.

"We’re excited to participate in North America’s premier automotive engineering event in 2017,” said John Nunneley, senior vice president of engineering for Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas.  “We’ll join our industry partners to discuss the future of automotive mobility, and we look forward to meeting many potential employees that will help us get there.”

Jim Forlenza, group director, SAE events, says such support is crucial for the success of WCX, “SAE International is pleased to welcome Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas back to the event.  It is important that WCX – the leading automotive engineering event – has the support of the leading industry companies.  Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, certainly falls into that category.  We look forward to continuing to work together in the future.”
