Hitachi Partners with The Wall Street Journal to Sponsor 2018 CIO Network Annual Meeting

Tarrytown, NY, March 1, 2018 – Hitachi America, Ltd., a subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE:6501) today will participate as a premier sponsor of the 2018 Wall Street Journal CIO Network annual meeting. Held March 5-6 in San Francisco at the Hotel Nikko, the meeting brings together top industry leaders and Wall Street Journal editors to discuss the latest issues facing technology. At the event, Hitachi will lead conversations about the latest developments in using data, artificial intelligence and IoT to drive better business outcomes.

During the event, chief information officers will have the opportunity to learn from and network with their peers to address critical IT issues, including the CIO’s expanding role, security and the future of cloud technology. Additionally, Hitachi will offer attendees the opportunities to:

- Learn from Hitachi big data experts at the Hitachi Global Center for Social Innovation in Santa Clara during a private breakfast and panel titled, “Driving Growth, Increasing Productivity through Robust AI and Big Data Applications.” The panel will be moderated by Ramin Beheshti, Chief Product and Technology Officer for Dow Jones, with 2 panelists from Hitachi, David Pinski, Chief Strategist, Financial Innovation Laboratory, and Bo Yang, Senior Manager, Energy Solutions, along with Margaret Reid, SVP of North America Risk at Visa Inc.

- Dive into conversations around innovation with Philip Townsend, SVP of global solutions, innovation and marketing at Hitachi Consulting, during an informal lunch-time roundtable discussion.
