HITACHI ALOKA MEDICAL AMERICA AND WASHINGTON HOSPITAL CENTER INVESTIGATE LV FUNCTION EVALUATION USING LV eFLOW

Wallingford, CT, June 10, 2016 --- Hitachi Aloka Medical America partnered with Dr. Zuyue Wang of Washington Hospital Center to evaluate the effectiveness of using LV eFLOW for the evaluation of LV function.

Hitachi Aloka, as a global provider of advanced cardiovascular ultrasound systems, is dedicated to providing technologies to our customers that provide exceptional diagnostic tools. Hitachi Aloka understands that one of the challenges for every echocardiography lab is the technically difficult patient. Conventionally, labs have used contrast agents to enhance endocardial border visualization. The difficulties with contrast agent use are the possible increases in patient exam time, resources and cost to the echo lab and the patient.

LV eFLOW is a noninvasive, high-definition blood flow imaging mode which drastically improves spatial and temporal resolution to improve visualization of the endocardial border in the left ventricle with higher sensitivity and resolution than with conventional methods.  Dr. Wang evaluated the use of LV eFLOW with their labs technically difficult patients.
